Saturday, November 21 the Danish Sisterhood held it bazaar in the Scandinavian Cultural Center and the Nordic sweater exchange brought bargains and delightful Nordic gifts to the public in the lower foyer of the PLU University Center.
In the coming weeks, there will be even more events to delight and entertain those who love Scandinavian foods and traditions.
On Sunday, November 22 from 2 to 4 p.m., the Danish Sangaften (song night) is another free event the public is welcome to attend.
December 2 will be the Norwegian language Christmas service in Eastvold Auditorium which is followed by a small banquet table of delightful Norwegian cookies and treats.
The Swedish Sankta Lucia Program will be on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in Eastvold Auditorium for a donation of $8 per person.
The grand celebration dinner, the Nordic Christmas Fest is Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. This dinner will be held in the Scandinavian Cultural Center and requires and R.S.V.P. along with payment. At this time, the cost has not been set.
