Sunday May 15, the Tacoma Art Museum is hosting the 7th Annual Northwest Native Free Community Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This community event highlights the vitality and resilience of Northwest Native artists and communities through contemporary and traditional Native culture and art.
TAM will feature an art market, music, dance, a contemporary Native fashion show, and art activities for all ages. Following this event, TAM will be holding the Edvard Munch and the Sea Reception and Tour. In attendance will be special guests of honor Minister of Culture, Linda Hofstad Helleland, and Member of Parliament, Trond Helleland from Norway. This event is in conjunction with Pacific Lutheran University and invitations were made from PLU’s Office of the President.
