Sunday May 15, at the Tacoma Art Museum

Sunday May 15, the Tacoma Art Museum is hosting the 7th Annual Northwest Native Free Community Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This community event highlights the vitality and resilience of Northwest Native artists and communities through contemporary and traditional Native culture and art.
TAM will feature an art market, music, dance, a contemporary Native fashion show, and art activities for all ages. For more information and a full schedule of events, please visit the Northwest Native Celebration page on the TAM website:
Following this event, TAM will be holding the Edvard Munch and the Sea Reception and Tour. In attendance will be special guests of honor Minister of Culture, Linda Hofstad Helleland, and Member of Parliament, Trond Helleland from Norway. This event is in conjunction with Pacific Lutheran University and invitations were made from PLU’s Office of the President.

Parking: We expect the Tacoma Art Museum parking lot to be very full. Additional parking is available on the street (free) and at the Tacoma Convention Center parking garage (for a fee). See additional options here:
